Gateway Baptist Ministries Africa is based out of Gateway of Hope Baptist Church in Jinja, Uganda. Our purpose is to  establish other fundamental, independent (self governing) Baptist Churches, for the glory of Our Lord Jesus Christ. 


We not only train God called men for the Gospel ministry, but we stand with them in evangelizing, establishing, and equipping their ministries.

Missionary Jeremy Holloway
Gateway of Hope planted by Missionary Jeremy Holloway, August 2016 started in his compound yard, in November 2016 The Lord provided an affordable location in Jinja town to rent, In July 2017 Gateway of Hope Baptist Church was commissioned / constituted out of Gateway Baptist Church, Boiling Springs, SC under the direction of Pastor Davy Shelton. Gateway of Hope is still praying for a permanent church property in Jinja Town.

Hope Independent Baptist Church 

Church Planter  Pastor Joshua Longa
Brother Joshua has been a church planter for many years in South Sudan. The current war has displaced him into a refugee camp in Arua, Uganda. He has planted the Hope Independent Baptist Church in Ariwa settlement.

Church Planter  Pastor Charles Sunday
Brother Sunday, joined Gateway Baptist Bible College in Yei, South Sudan in August 2014. In February 2016 Brother Sunday was to take over a new church plant in Yei, South Sudan in the Lutaya village, but the civil war forced the move of Brother Sunday's family to Eden II settlement of the South Sudan refugee camps. Since there, he has planted the Gateway of Hope Baptist Church. He is working to establish the Church. This work is growing in number and spiritually.

Pastor  Kirvom Joseph
Brother Joseph came to me in August 2016 and asked that I begin coming to his church and help them learn the Bible and get things correct in the church. He admitted that in the past the teaching was not all truth and he had seen the errors and wanted to get it right. Since that time, I and the men of GoHBC have been there at least once a week to help him and the church learn the truth of God's Word. Brother Joseph has taken the name of Gateway of Hope Baptist Church Nymagira.

Preaching point out of Gateway of Hope Baptist Church Jinja Town

Lygogala,  Mayuge District, Uganda
Since going to Brother Kirvom's another preaching point has began in the village of Lygogala. The men of GoHBC Jinja are working with these believers to get them sound in the Word of God. This preaching point is looking and praying for a plot of land.
